Disclosure

AgentStack is an independent publication covering enterprise AI, AI agents, copilots, AI platforms and workflow automation. We are funded in part by companies that pay to appear in our content, by advertising and by affiliate commissions. This page explains each type of paid relationship, how we label it and how we keep our editorial judgment independent. Our disclosures follow the US Federal Trade Commission’s guidance on endorsements and native advertising.

How AgentStack makes money

  • Paid placements: Companies pay to be mentioned or featured within a relevant article.
  • Sponsored content: Companies pay for sponsored articles, sponsored reviews, sponsored guides and reports, webinars and newsletter sponsorships.
  • Advertising: Advertisers pay for display placements on the Site and for section sponsorships.
  • Affiliate links: We may earn a commission when a reader signs up or buys through some links, at no extra cost to the reader.

We disclose every one of these relationships because reader trust is what makes the publication worth reading.

Paid placements

When a company pays to be mentioned or featured in an article, we label the mention “Paid placement” where it appears. We also add a disclosure at the top of the article, before the first paid mention. Payment buys a clearly labeled placement and never a rating, verdict or editorial conclusion.

If a paid placement affects which products appear in a list or the order they appear in, we say so at the top of the article. Scores, rankings and verdicts come from our published criteria alone.

Sponsored content

Sponsored articles and reviews are labeled “Sponsored” or “Partner content” at the top of the article, in the byline area and in any social or newsletter promotion. The sponsor can suggest the topic and review the draft for factual accuracy. The sponsor cannot dictate our opinion, rewrite our analysis or remove limitations we found.

Sponsored reviews use the same testing methodology we apply to every review. Sponsored guides, reports and webinars name the sponsor. If you register for one of these, the form tells you before you submit that your details will be shared with the named sponsor, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Advertising and section sponsorships

Display placements and “Presented by” section sponsorships are clearly marked as paid. Buying an ad or a sponsorship gives the advertiser no say over our coverage. We run a limited number of ad units per page so that commercial content does not crowd out independent coverage.

Affiliate links

Some links on AgentStack are affiliate links. If you click one and sign up or buy, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We disclose affiliate links in the article, and commissions never change our assessment of a product.

Affiliate networks and partners may use cookies to record that a referral came from AgentStack. Our Cookie Policy explains these cookies and how to manage them. Our affiliate partners include [AD AND AFFILIATE PARTNERS].

How we label paid content

We place every label close to the content it describes and write it in plain language. Readers should not need to click, hover or visit another page to see that content is paid.

  • Top of the article: Articles with paid mentions open with this disclosure: “Disclosure: [Company] paid to be featured in this article. Our assessment of every product, including [Company], is our own. See our Editorial Standards for details.”
  • Inline labels: Paid mentions carry a “Paid placement” or “Sponsored” label where they appear.
  • Sponsored articles: Sponsored pieces carry a “Sponsored” or “Partner content” label at the top, in the byline area and in any promotion.
  • Featured listings: Paid listings in our vendor directories and comparison pages are labeled as featured.
  • Links: Paid and affiliate links carry rel=”sponsored” attributes in line with search engine guidelines.

Free access, travel and other relationships

We disclose when a company has given us free accounts, extended trials, demo environments or event travel. Access never buys a positive review. If an author or [COMPANY LEGAL NAME] has an investment, advisory role or consulting relationship with a company we cover, we disclose it in the article. [CONFIRM CONFLICT OF INTEREST POLICY]

Editorial independence

Our editors decide what we cover, how we test products and what we conclude. Partners can propose topics for sponsored work, and those proposals do not set our independent editorial calendar. Ratings, scores, verdicts and any criticism we publish stay under editorial control. Every article is reviewed and edited by a named human before it goes live.

Our Editorial Standards explain in full how we research, test, rate and correct our coverage.
